Convinced human race is heading for a dark age soon.
ISIS militants are reported to have blown up an ancient temple in the historic ruins of Palmyra, Syria.
Maamoun Abdulkarim, Syria's director-general of antiquities and museums, told the Syrian state news agency SANA that local sources in Palmyra informed him that ISIS members rigged the Temple of Baalshamin with large quantities of explosives and detonated them.
There was uncertainty over when exactly the damage was done to the temple, which dates from the first century AD.
The SANA report Sunday didn't specify when the explosion took place. The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which monitors the conflict, reported on the same day that its sources said ISIS blew up the temple about a month ago.
