Russia interested in arming Su-30SM with air-launched BrahMos

TASS reported that Russia is interested to procure the air-launched variant of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile and use it to arm its Su-30SM fighter.

“The new missile strike system – a plane plus a missile – will be first of all made operational with the Indian Air Force. After that the Russian Air Force, which is very interested, may buy the system,” an anonymous source told TASS on the sidelines of Army 2016 forum.
The same person added that negotiations might start in 2017 after India completes the flight test program.
